Vancity Announces 2002 Board of Directors Election Results
Vancouver, April 10, 2002 - Vancouver City Savings Credit Union (Vancity) announced the official results of the 2002 Board of Directors election today. The amount of ballots cast - 13,496 - was up nine per cent from last year.
Nine candidates ran for three Directors' positions. Elected were:
Catherine McCreary (re-elected) - 8,091 votes
Rhonda Zabinsky - 5,629 votes
Sandy Watson - 4,633 votes
Other candidate results include:
Brian Nasu - 4,248 votes
Essop Mia - 3,961 votes
Glen Haddrell - 3,411 votes
Mark Perry - 2,458 votes
Benjamin Hecker - 2,243 votes
David Dick - 2,231 votes
Outgoing directors include Kay Leong and Jack Allard, who chose not to run this year.
