New Executive Director for Vancity Community Foundation
Vancouver, September 29, 2004 –BC’s deputy child and youth officer has been named the new executive director of the Vancity Community Foundation.
Ian Mass was hired following a national search that yielded an impressive list of candidates and was selected based on his combination of education, experience, community involvement, proven leadership and values.
Ian brings to the foundation a wide range of experience, including an outstanding career in the youth and child protection field and a background as a broadcaster and writer focusing on public policy issues. He has also served the community for many years in various volunteer roles, including leading boards of directors for a variety of community service, education and civic organizations.
Ian replaces former executive director David Driscoll who recently retired.
