Vancity Savings Credit Union/ORCATEC Alliance Provides Unique E-Business Solution For Community Groups
Vancouver, January 26, 2000 - Vancity Credit Union and ORCATEC of Victoria have signed a letter of intent to form a strategic alliance that will facilitate ORCATEC's offering of a dynamic new information management and tracking system solution tailored to community service organizations via E-Business.
The SOCIALnet Information Management System easily compiles critical information relating clients, programs, funding agencies, staff, assets and finances, as well as providing mapping, fundraising and communications functions. The SOCIALnet system is affordable, flexible, and efficient and has already been customized to meet the requirements of several service sectors.
"As an innovator in E-business, Vancity is very pleased to be working with ORCATEC to tailor financial support, finance capital costs and integrate the system with day to day banking services", says Vancity's Sr. Vice-Pres. Corporate Strategy and Marketing George Scott. "The intent is to contribute to a turnkey package that will make the SOCIALnet information management and tracking system more accessible to community groups."
This initiative further underscores Vancity's corporate social responsibility efforts to provide innovative solutions to help community groups and social service agencies in the province.
