Self-Employment and Small Business Survey Contest (the "Contest")

Contest Rules

This Contest is sponsored by Vancouver City Savings Credit Union ("Vancity"), 183 Terminal Avenue, Vancouver, British Columbia V6A 4G2.

1. Contest Period: The Contest runs from 12:00 PM Pacific Time (“PT”) on April 12, 2018 to 11:59 PM PT on April 30, 2018 (the “Contest Period”). Vancity’s server machines will be the sole determinant of the entry time for all Contest participants.
2. Prize: There are three (3) prizes available to be won: one (1) grand prize and two (2) runner-up prizes (as described below). Prize is not exchangeable for cash and is not eligible for substitution. One prize to be won per member. Chances of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries received.
   1. Grand prize: One (1) winner will win the grand prize of $500 in the form of a Vancity enviro™ Gift Card Visa
   2. Runner-up prize: Two (2) runner-up prize winners will win $250 in the form of a Vancity enviro™ Gift Card Visa
3. How to Enter: No purchase is necessary. To enter the contest, complete the Self-Employment and Small Business Survey (https://live.madesurveys.ca/vancity.html). One entry per person.
   1. During the Contest Period, complete the Self-Employment and Small Business Survey https://live.madesurveys.ca/vancity.html. By completing the survey, you agree to these official Contest rules (“Rules”), you confirm your eligibility for the Contest, and your agreement to comply in full with these Rules.
   2. To be eligible, you must (a) complete the Self-Employment and Small Business Survey, and (b) be a resident of British Columbia.
   3. By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Vancity and its advertising and promotion agencies, the Contest judges and each of their respective agents, employees, directors, successors, and assigns against any and all claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, trade-mark infringement or any other intellectual property related cause of action. Vancity and/or the Contest judges reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to remove any entries if a complaint is received with respect to the entrant, or for any other reason.
4. Award of Prizes: On May 30, 2018, a random draw will be made from all eligible entries to identify the potential winners. Any eligible entry that is selected in the random draw must comply with these Rules to win the prize. Additional draws may be made if necessary to award the prize. Any potential winner(s) must be confirmed as a winner in accordance with these Rules. Any unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.
5. Eligibility: The Contest is open to residents of British Columbia who are 19 years of age or older who are not employees of Vancity or its affiliates, and are not members of the immediate family or household of those employees.
6. Disqualification: There is a limit of one entry per person. Anyone found attempting to use multiple identities to enter the Contest will be disqualified. If you use an automated system or program to enter or otherwise disrupt the Contest, then you may be disqualified. Vancity is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, delayed or incomplete entries, all of which will be disqualified. Vancity may disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Rules. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within the specified time, fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question referred to below, fails to provide the required information or documentation, or if the prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, then the potential winner will be disqualified and will forfeit the prize.
7. Winner Verification and Notification: All potential winners are subject to verification by Vancity, including proof of identity and eligibility. Potential winner will be contacted by the email address provided through the Self-Employment and Small Business Survey and will be requested to contact Vancity directly via email contests@vancity.com or 604.877.7970 within five (5) business days, to make arrangements with Vancity for the potential winner to take all steps required by these Rules before being declared a winner. Failure to respond within five (5) business days of notification, return of email notification as undeliverable, or failure to comply with these Rules, will result in disqualification.
8. To Claim a Prize: To be declared a winner and claim a prize, potential winners must: (a) correctly answer a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question; and (b) sign and return, without further compensation, Vancity's Declaration and Release confirming compliance with these Contest rules and acceptance of the prize as offered, releasing Vancity, its affiliates and its and their agents with respect to injuries, accident, loss or damages relating to the Contest or the awarding of the prize, and consenting to use of the potential winner's name, city, photograph and/or statement in any publicity carried out by Vancity relating to this Contest.
9. Participant's Agreement: By entering the Contest you: (a) acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these Contest Rules; (b) consent to Vancity contacting you in accordance with these Contest Rules; and (c) agree not to challenge or claim against Vancity in relation to the Contest.
10. Data Charges: Standard data rates may apply to participants who enter the Contest from a wireless mobile device. Wireless service providers may charge for airtime for each standard text message sent and received. Contact your service provider for pricing and service plan information and rates that may apply.
11. Privacy: By entering the Contest, you consent to Vancity storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted by you for administering the Contest and in accordance with Vancity's privacy policy (available at https://www.vancity.com/privacy). All entries become the property of Vancity.
12. Technical Problems: Vancity is not responsible for: (a) any technical malfunction or other system problems that could affect your ability to enter the Contest; (b) the failure of your entry to be received or captured for any reason; or (c) any injury or damage to your computer or mobile device resulting from participating in the Contest.
13. Disagreements: All decisions of Vancity concerning the Contest are final.
14. Changes: Vancity may withdraw, amend or suspend the Contest (or change these Contest Rules) to deal with any technical problems, computer viruses or bugs, unauthorized interventions or other cause beyond Vancity's reasonable control that interfere with the proper conduct of the Contest. Vancity may adjust any of the dates and timeframes provided in the Contest Rules without prior notice to you to verify compliance by any participant as a result of any technical or other problems, or because of any other circumstances which Vancity believes may affect the proper administration of the Contest.
15. Laws: This contest is subject to all applicable federal and provincial laws and regulations.
