Affinity Bridge: Web solutions with soul

Some people will tell you that running a successful business and maintaining your principles are mutually exclusive. Mack Hardy, Director of Vancouver-based web development company Affinity Bridge, respectfully disagrees.

“Affinity Bridge started in 2005 with a goal to contribute to projects that matter,” he explains. “Projects with either with social or environment value.”

Mack’s business relationship with Vancity began when he was a lone programmer working from his bedroom. Now he’s head of an 11-person team that is committed to making a difference to communities across British Columbia and beyond, and that relationship is still a vital component in Affinity Bridge’s foundations.

“Vancity was always my financial institution of choice,” continues Mack. “They share my values—social responsibility and community stewardship. You’re speaking to a financial institution but you’re also speaking to a co-operative that’s hyper-local. I don’t think a bank has community interests in mind like Vancity does.”
