Award: Top 50 Socially Responsible Corporations 2014

For: Vancity earned a spot on Maclean's 50 Most Socially Responsible Corporations in Canada list for the third consecutive year based on its environmental, social and governance performance. Vancity was highlighted for being Canada's first financial institution to determine its impact on “people, planet and profit” via non-financial metrics, such as membership resilience and client well-being, alongside financial metrics, as well as for supporting farmers’ markets through its granting program. For: Patrice Pratt, a Vancity board member for nine years, earned a Co-operative Momentum Award from the BC Co-operative Association for her outstanding contributions to the co-op community.
