Vancity invests in social enterprises and social ventures through our high impact lending and investment programs. We act as trusted advisers and partners for high potential ventures, helping them to navigate through products, programs and services that support their growth - from early planning, to start-up and launch, right through to sustainability and expansion.
By investing in social enterprises and social ventures, we are supporting not-for-profits, co-operatives, First Nation community owned businesses and mission-based for-profits. We are interested in working with mission-driven organizations, including green businesses and businesses in the sector, as well as those that create economic inclusion for marginalized members of the community.
We’re interested in organizations with a mission focused on social, environmental, economic or cultural impact. This can include the delivery of products or services to meet a mission; the provision of local employment or jobs for individuals facing barriers to employment; or generating revenues in support of a not-for-profit operation.
