Driver's Licensing
Starting August 12, 2024 we will conduct out of province license transfer and out of province vehicle transfers from between 10AM and 5PM Monday to Friday and 10AM-3PM on Saturdays.
To apply for or renew your British Columbia driver's license you must bring one "primary" and one "secondary" piece of identification.
Your existing driver's license may be used in place of any one of these.

You can request the following transactions directly from ICBC:
- BC Driving Record / Driver’s Abstract
- Driver’s License Address Change
- Pay a Ticket
- ICBC Payment Plan Deferral
- Transfer Tax Form
- Gift Letter
If your legal name differs from that on your ID, you must also present a marriage certificate or legal name change certificate.
If you were born outside Canada and do not have primary ID, contact Citizenship and Immigration Canada at 1-888-242-2100.
If you were born in Canada, please contact the jurisdiction you were born in to get a copy of your Birth Certificate.
