Atira Property Management Inc. (APMI) has acquired the assets of Croft Agencies, a property management company, with the help of a loan of $475,000 from Vancity. APMI is wholly owned by Atira Women’s Resource Society, a not-for-profit organization that provides housing, shelters and transition homes for women and their children who are at risk of violence. The company’s property management contracts generate cash flow that is diverted to the women’s society.
The loan is part of a new initiative to support social enterprise called the *Resilient Capital Program. The founding partners of the Resilient Capital Program are Vancity and Vancouver Foundation and the aim of the program is to support the growth of organizations that add to the social, economic, and environmental well-being of their communities.
* Financing secured through the Resilient Capital Program.
