Mar 23: 2000 Board of Directors Election Results

Vancouver, March 23, 2000 - Vancouver City Savings Credit Union (Vancity) announced the official results of the 2000 Board of Directors Election today. Voter turnout was down 24 per cent from last year with a total of 5,744 ballots cast.

Eleven candidates ran for three Director positions. The elected candidates are as follows:

Directors Elected

• Sylvia Pritchard
  was re-elected for a three-year term with 2,151 votes
• Doreen Braverman
  was elected for a three-year term with 1,823 votes
• Elain Duvall
  was re-elected for a three-year term with 1,761 votes

Other candidate results include:

• Edward Rogers with 1,755 votes
• Essop Mia with 1,535 votes
• Rhonda J. Zabinsky with 1,436 votes
• Bud Li-Lam with 1,377 votes
• Mark Steppell with 1,317 votes
• Ross Peters with 1,048 votes
• Alex Barker with 883 votes
• Oliver Ma with 486 votes
