Vancity Announces 2000 Board of Directors Election Results
Vancouver, March 23, 2000 - Vancouver City Savings Credit Union (Vancity) announced the official results of the 2000 Board of Directors Election today. Voter turnout was down 24 per cent from last year with a total of 5,744 ballots cast.
Eleven candidates ran for three Director positions. The elected candidates are as follows:
Directors Elected
- Sylvia Pritchard
was re-elected for a three-year term with 2,151 votes - Doreen Braverman
was elected for a three-year term with 1,823 votes - Elain Duvall
was re-elected for a three-year term with 1,761 votes
Other candidate results include:
- Edward Rogers with 1,755 votes
- Essop Mia with 1,535 votes
- Rhonda J. Zabinsky with 1,436 votes
- Bud Li-Lam with 1,377 votes
- Mark Steppell with 1,317 votes
- Ross Peters with 1,048 votes
- Alex Barker with 883 votes
- Oliver Ma with 486 votes
