Vancity Digital Privacy Charter.

Vancouver City Savings Credit Union, Vancity Investment Management Ltd., Vancity Capital Corporation, SCU Insurance Services Ltd. and Vancity Life Insurance Services Ltd. (collectively, “Vancity”, “we”, “us” or “our”) strives to protect and respect your privacy during your digital interactions with us. This Charter, together with the Vancity Privacy Code, explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our online services, including visits to our websites, online or mobile applications, or interactions with our digital communications and campaigns (“Online Services”). The Vancity entity that controls and is accountable for your personal information is the Vancity entity whose Online Services you interact with.

This Charter may be revised periodically. We will notify you of material changes by posting a revised Charter on our website. We encourage you to visit our website regularly to stay informed.

Personal information we collect and how we use it.

When you use our Online Services, you may provide us with your personal information directly, such as when you sign up for products and services through our Online Services or otherwise engage with our Online Services. The types of personal information we collect from you directly are set out in the Vancity Privacy Code.

We may also collect your personal information automatically, such as information about your computer or device you use to access our Online Services, information about your physical location, and statistical information regarding how you interact with our Online Services, including time spent on our website or certain pages of our website.

Examples of the personal information and data collected automatically include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browsing habits, preferences, device model, unique device number, browser type, operating system of your device, information about your screen size, date and time and use of app, device orientation and movement, and click-IDs.

The information we collect helps us to:
